  生理名。为决定人类性别的机制。在 胚胎发育早期,性别不明显,随后才表现出性器官分化。性染色体与性别决定有关。在人类,性染色体为X和Y两种类型。女性为XX;男性为XY。在性细胞成熟时,卵子都只有一个X,精子则或有X或有Y。若受精机会均等,则后代中男女数目各半。人类有XXX,XXY和XO等性染色体异常的情况,性征都表现异常。卵子具备全部基因,但精子可增加变异,并决定子代性别和刺激卵子发育。
