大兴安岭新林美人松原始森林，面积约5万平方米，以樟子松为主，偶夹生少量落叶松，园中树林茂密，枝干黄里透粉、挺拔秀美，故称美人松。树干平均直径0.4米。林龄约170年，郁闭度0.9，最大树木高度29米，平均树木高度18米。
大兴安岭新林美人松位于新林区新林镇镇北，与小镇毗邻。是建．区以来保留下来的原始森林，原黑龙江省省长陈雷为其题写"原林园"。园的四周用铁栏封闭，并建有大门。樟子松林四季长青，尤其是冬季雪过天晴，绿树、白雪、蓝天相互映衬，非常壮观。
