【德国雷发翼乡村信用合作社】世界最早的农村信用合作社，1848年成立于德国法郎司非特，为有农村信用合作社慈父之称的德国雷发翼创办。从1750年起，德国农村遭逢严重困难，农产品价格大跌，借款利率极高，农民陷于极度困境。曾经当过市乡村长、有宗教道德精神，并热心于农村合作事业的雷发粪为救济农村，于1848年创办信用合作社，为农民贷放资金，并兼营出售家畜。1862年因认识到慈善性质的合作社不能持久，毅然采取自助原则，创办以农民为本位的信用合作社，成为雷发粪信用合作社的典型。 雷发粪信用合作社的原则是:社员均限于从事农业;社员有信用不仅只在经济方面，而且在道德上;社员负无限责任;盈余作公积金，不准分配;不准社员让渡其权利;社员所借资金以所得收人归还，故放款期限稍长。雷发粪信用合作社的资金来源有5项:股金、公积金、储蓄、活期存款、向中央合作银行及其他银行或个人借人资金。雷发翼信用合作社的组织设最高权力机关社员大会，每年至少召开两次会议。董事会由5人以上组成，由社员大会选举产生，任期四年，连选连任，每年改选2或3人。监委会由3一9人组成，任期3年，连选连任，每年改选1/3。
