地盘行为 territorial behavior
标示对地盘并进行防御的行为。小鸟的地盘行为是在地盘内选定的场所发出特有的鸣声（territorysong），羚羊（ante lope）和其他许多哺乳类，在特定的场所（标记区）散发香腺的分泌物，或拉粪撒尿作嗅觉标记。粪尿标记即使个体不在那里也有作用，这点颇引起注意。地盘的防御通常是以威吓行为来进行的，很少发展到格斗。
