物种特征:描述:中等体型(38厘米),带很重斑纹的鹑类。喉白,下脸部的黑色条纹过眼部和下喉部,与亮红色嘴及肉色眼圈形成对照。上体粉灰,胸皮黄带橘黄,两胁具黑色、栗色横斑及白色条纹。诸亚种存在细微差异,以荒漠中的为最淡。 虹膜-褐色;嘴-红色;脚-红色。 叫声:雄鸟发出一连串越来越高的ka-ka-kaka-kaka-kaka声,紧接着几声带鼻音的咯咯叫,声如 chukara-chukara-chukar。 分布范围:欧洲南部、小亚细亚、喜马拉雅山脉、亚洲中部至蒙古及中国北部。引种英国及其他地区。 分布状况:广泛分布于中国北方,为地方性常见鸟。 习性:成对或成群活动于开阔山区、高原、草原及干旱草地。
