补充资料：薛稷(649～713)
中国唐代书法家、画家。字嗣通,蒲州汾阴(今山西省万荣县)人。睿宗时任黄门侍郎、参知机务,历官至太子少保、礼部尚书。后因预知窦怀贞谋害玄宗事，被赐死于狱中。薛稷工书法，其外祖父魏徵家收藏书画甚多，薛稷用心观摩学习，从中获益颇多，特别对褚遂良书法墨迹更是锐意学习,穷年忘倦,遂自成家，与虞世南、欧阳询、褚遂良并列为初唐四大书法家。薛稷能画人物、佛像、树石、花鸟，尤以画鹤著名。诗人李白作文赞美薛稷所画之鹤为"紫顶烟赩，丹眸星皎。昂昂伫眙，霍若惊矫。形留座隅，势出天表。谓长鸣于风霄，终寂立于露晓"(《金乡薛少府厅画鹤赞》)。可见画中能生动逼真地表现出鹤的状貌动态和风采。杜甫诗中也有"薛公十一鹤,尽写青田真,......低昂各有态，磊落如长人"（《通泉县署屋壁后薛少保画鹤》）之句，亦可知其画鹤有生活形象依据,由于技巧精妙,虽色彩已久但神态犹不失出尘之感。他当时在长安、洛阳及四川等地留下不少画迹，在秘书省壁所画鹤与贺知章草书、郎余令画凤等各称一绝。他所创屏风六扇鹤样也为人传摹效仿。直到五代黄筌出现以前，薛稷画鹤一直被人公认为是难以超越的精湛技艺，可惜作品未流传下来。
