The paper briefly introduces the structural type, work principle, calculationmodel and method, structural requirements and problems needing attentions in design for high-piled wharf with steel-piped berthing pile, which is adaptable for improvement of old wharves.

Theoretical and numarical analyses of deformation property of prestressed berthing pile under dynamic load;

By testing on the characteristics of four prestressed concrete berthing piles and theoretical calculations,the influence of some parameters such as initial tensile stress,strength of concrete and ratio of reinforcing bar on the berthing pile is discussed.

On the basis of laboratory test results,the authors studied the effect of initial tensile stress,concrete strength and the ratio of reinforcing bar on the deformation ability and the cracking property of PCBP(prestressed concrete berthing pile).

Taking Jinrun wharf as an example,this paper introduces the types of flexible breasting clustered piles proposed in front of the wharf platform,makes a calculation on the energy absorption of flexible breasting clustered piles,and puts forward the appropriate structural types and relative calculation methods of flexible breasting clustered piles.
