宁海乡位于连云港市灌云县灌云县城北部25公里处、东与东辛农场毗邻，西职盐河与海州区锦屏乡相望，南与东辛乡接壤，北连云台区南城镇、云台乡和国营云台农场。面积46平方公里，耕地30135亩，
2、自然资源
宁海乡地势平坦，土质为脱盐粘性土壤，经济历史上以农业为主，主要种植三麦、水稻、棉花、大豆等。副业生产主要有芦苇和柳编、养鱼、禽畜饲养、食用菌生产、农副产品加工、劳务输出等。

4、交通便利
宁海乡交通方便，204国道纵穿乡境，北距陇海路5公里。该乡现有中学1所，小学10余所，教职工近200人，在校学生4000人。目前村有卫生室，乡有卫生院，放映队、文化站、广播扩大站等单位。
