补充资料：大青沟自然保护区
1980年由国务院批准建立。1988年划为国家级自然保护区。位于内蒙古自治区哲里木盟科尔沁沙地中间地带，由两条"入"字形谷峪组成。较大者为大青沟，长约20公里，深60～100米，沟宽平均350米；较小者为小青沟，长约10公里,深50～70米,沟均宽350～400米。由于二者深嵌于沙地中，谷深面窄，周围虽沙丘滚滚，风沙弥漫,昼夜温差、年温差都较大,但沟内冬暖夏凉，气温变化缓和，适宜植物生长。大青沟有长白区系、内蒙古和华北区系的木本植物106种，草本植物422种。适应由沟底至沟上气温条件的变化，三层植物群落排列有序：①沟底为水曲柳群落,以水曲柳、椿树居多,黄菠萝、朝鲜柳相杂，山葡萄、南蛇藤杂生缠绕。②沟坡为蒙古栎群落,蒙古栎、栎桑成荫,山杏、紫椴穿插，山丁子、花盖梨伴生。③沟沿为大果榆群落，大果榆为主，色木槭点缀,每到深秋,槭叶尽红,榆叶转黄,红黄相间，景色艳丽。如将三层植物群落按乔、灌、草划分，由下而上又可清晰地辨别出乔五、灌四、草三等12层植物带。1982年在大青沟修建了旅游设施，开始接待中外旅游者。
