| 产地及产期: 我国沿海分布极广，产量大，以辽宁、山东为最多，生活于潮间带中、下区及浅海沙泥滩中。 | |
| 介绍: 贝壳坚厚，略成四角形。两壳极膨胀。壳顶突出，位于背缘中央略靠前方，尖端向前弯。贝壳具外皮，顶部白色，幼小个体呈淡紫色，近腹缘为黄褐色，腹面边缘常有1条很＿窄的边缘。生长线明显粗大，形成凹凸不平的同心环纹，贝壳内面白色，铰合部宽大，左壳具一个分叉的主齿，右壳具有2个排列成“八”字形的主齿；两壳前、后侧齿发达均成片状，左壳单片，一有亮双片。外韧带小，淡黄色；内韧带大，黄褐色。闭壳肌痕显明，前闭壳肌痕稍小，呈卵圆形，后闭壳肌痕稍大，近圆形，外套痕清楚，接近腹缘。 |
