Based on a full investigation on the operating condition of the chains of all kinds of mini-under-tie ballast cleaning machine availailable in China, this paper makes an analysis and study of their commonly -used material and failure state, and hence provides some reference for selecting materials reasonably, laying down the technological process rules and designing the type of teeth.
