Based on a special shaped single pylon cable-stayed bridge on the foundation of group piles, the program for FEM calculation is adopted for dispersion of the beam grillage system at the footing and for structural analysis and calculation of the group pile foundation.

Through centrifugal model tests respectively made for 18 and 64 piles of group pile foundations,the load-settlement curves and pile shaft axial force distribution are obtained.
