| 砾岩 conglomerate 沉积碎屑岩的一种。由粒径大于2毫米的圆状、次圆状砾石经胶结而成。按大小分为巨砾岩、粗砾岩、中砾岩和细砾岩。按砾石成分分为单成分砾岩和复成分砾岩。前者砾石成分单一，多为稳定的岩屑和矿物，其中某种成分的砾石占75％以上，如石英岩质砾岩，燧石砾岩及石英砾岩等；后者砾石成分复杂，各种成分的砾石含量都不超过50％，通常分选较差、圆度不高，砾石抗风化能力也较弱，多为洪积产物。根据形成原因可分为河成砾岩、滨海砾岩、滨湖砾岩及海岸三角洲砾岩。根据其在地层剖面中的位置又可分为底砾岩和层间砾岩。砾岩往往代表沉积间断，因此是判断构造运动和区域不整合存在的重要标志。还可用它判断古海、湖岸的位置及古河流的流向。砾石是天然的铺路材料和水泥拌料，某些砾岩常与铀、金、金刚石、铜等共生，是找矿的一种标志。
