Testing show that as the n value increases,the alkalinity,solubility of sodium polysilicate and the amount of combined Ca~(2+),Mg~(2+) are reduced,but its buffer property rises and when n≥5,the solubility is lower,Different sodium polvsilicates have little effect on the decontamination of Dacron cloth,but as to cotton cloth,the decontamination ratio becomes greater as the n value rises.
