      实验水力学经典著作。作者是爱尔兰人R.曼宁,1816年生于诺曼底,1897年逝世。他曾任市政工程办公室主任工程师和爱尔兰土木工程师协会主席。本书稿于1889年提交该协会,次年刊登在该会学报第20卷上,作者修正了以前的阻力公式缺陷,提出了有关均匀流流速的新公式,即,式中K为实验系数;R为水力半径;J为水力坡度。
