在常州市区后北岸4-8号。原为清康熙年间状元赵熊诏府邸花园。有宅第28进，占半条县学街。其后人赵怀玉曾于此建"方玉堂"、"云窝"及水阁、亭榭等景点。太平军占领常州后设圣库，英王陈玉成曾在此驻节。同治三年（1864）四月初六，李鸿章军攻陷常州，抢劫圣库，焚烧房屋，仅存头门、大厅及魁星阁。光绪十二年（1886）园归县令史干甫。史加以改建，集蔡襄书"以意为之"四字为额，遂称"意园"。筑垣墙，以漏窗隔成内外园。内园有花厅、假山，分呈四季之景；外园有延桂山房、明月廊、鱼池、亭榭及临溪之望云水榭等。廊壁嵌有米芾、蔡襄等历代 名家书法石刻十余方。为市级文物保护单位。
