| 军事通信 military communication 保障军队指挥和兵器控制的信息传输。是军队指挥系统的重要组成部分。通常由各级司令部组织实施。其基本任务是保障军队指挥顺畅。军事通信联络的基本原则是：一切为了保障作战指挥；迅速、准确、保密、不间断；以无线电通信为主，与有线电及其他通信手段结合使用；全面组织，确保重点；控制通信预备力量；主动配合，密切协作。
军事通信根据其任务和保障范围，通常区分为指挥通信，协同通信，后方通信，警报通信和报知通信。上述通信可以分别组成通信网，也可组成综合的通信网。根据其运用通信手段的不同，分为无线电通信、有线电通信、光通信、运动通信和简易信号通信等。无线电通信，是利用无线电波传输信息的通信方式，是现代战争中的主要通信手段。无线电通信除使用超短波、短波、中波和长波的电台通信外，还有使用超短波或微波的接力通信、散射通信、卫星通信、流星余迹通信等。有线电通信，是利用导线传输电信号的通信方式，是现代战争中的重要通信手段。有线电通信按传输线路的种类，可分为野战线路通信、架空明线线路通信、电缆线路通信。光通信，是利用光传输信息的通信方式，分为光纤通信和大气激光通信。运动通信，是军队中由人员徒步或乘坐各种交通工具传递文书或口信的通信方式。简易信号通信，是使用各种简易信号工具、就便器材和简便方法，按照规定的信号或记号传递信息的通信方式。 为了适应现代战争的指挥要求，军事通信需要采用先进的通信技术，建立多手段、大容量、直观直读的和抗毁、抗干扰能力强的自动化通信系统，以实现情报处理、武器控制、作战指挥的自动化。 |
