mainly by seepage, complementarily by pumping, was adopted in the foundation construction and pit water was drained away by the combination of pipe well with seepage well.

Pointing at the out of dam swampiness and geologic conditions of Dingzhuang Reservoir, the out of dam swampiness of the reservoir has been controlled effectively by use of the seepage drainage scheme of artesian seepage wells combined with subsuface pipes, and the seepage drainage method out of dam for plain reservoirs has been discussed usefully.

In combination with the specific geographic characteristics of Daguang Expressway Shenzhou-Daming section,the author puts forward a design idea for the use of seepage well on expressways intersected with under-pass highways in the light of general highness of subgrade on North China plain area.

Based on the analysis of flow-net of collecting water of the infiltration well on riverbed and resource well in the vicinity of confining boundary, and using the infiltrationflow theory of underground water, this paper presents the equation for calculating yieldsof the bottom intake infiltration well on riverbed in thin aquifer.
