经济活动主体之间收入与支出的流量就叫收入循环流量。在只有厂商和居民户的两部门经济分析中,居民户向厂商提供各种生产要素,并从厂商那里得到收入;厂商利用各种生产要素进行生产,并向居民户提供产品和劳务。因此,居民户为购买厂商提供的产品和劳务,让手中的货币流向厂商;厂商为支付居民户提供的生产要素服务,又让货币流向居民户。在这里,居民户收入的货币价值必须等于厂商产出的货币价值。如果居民户把收入的一部分用来向厂商购买产品与劳务,而把另一部分存入金融机构,而厂商在居民户的消费支出之外又能从金融机构获得投资资金来源,那么在金融机构把全部储蓄都转化为投资资金的情况下,收入流量的循环仍可正常进行下去。在这里,储蓄是一种漏出,导致收入循环流量的减少,而投资是一种注入,导致收入循环流量的增加。在均衡条件下,漏出必须等于注入。
