A systematic analysis indicates that the coupling of crystallization, diffusion of melt components in the front of solidification zone, and advancement of the front itself caused the formation of rhythmic layering in layered intrusions under supercooling.

Propagation process of weathering fronts of rock blocks with low permeability in vadose zones of slopes;

Mainly aims at the rock structure in problem of coupling on the temperature and the stress, this paper investigates mechanism of rock structure weathering front expanding when rock suffers temperature of non-saturated zone environment.

Analysis upon monzonite and basalt weathering process demonstrate that low permeability rock weathering front is promoted by moisture diffusion of which mode is composite between Fick and Knudsen diffusion.
