Study on the safety-monitoring index for high arch dams based on Monte-Carlo;

We put forward theoretical model,monitoring index and implementation means for safety monitoring of the high dam flood discharge protection structure,establish the comprehensive real-time evaluation and control system for safety risk based on summarizing key factors and dynamic mechanism of energy dissipation of flood discharge in dam.

According to failure characteristics and demand of dam working condition,a new method of making safety monitoring index is propounded which is applicable to the overflow dam section of Feilai Gorge Project.

Based on kernel ICA (KICA) model,the main contributions are as follows: firstly,a method to sort the rows of demixing matrix was introduced and the number of independent components was determined; secondly,the monitoring indices were extended into high-dimensional space by "kernel trick",and so a nonlinear process monitoring method was proposed.

However,as structural analysis has considered mechanical behaviors of the dam and its foundation and combined experimental and design information,it is more effective for the development of monitoring indices and can verify that the dam design is reasonable.

In order to evaluate the operational condition of the process,the paper constructs several statistics as the monitoring indices to measure the features and errors,respectively.
