河漫滩 flood plain 河流洪水期淹没的河床以外的谷底部分 。它由河流的横向迁移和洪水漫堤的沉积作用形成。平原区的河漫滩比较发育。由于横向环流作用,V字形河谷展宽,冲积物组成浅滩,浅滩加宽,枯水期大片露出水面成为雏形河漫滩。之后洪水携带的物质不断沉积,形成河漫滩。河漫滩沉积大多具二元结构,下部是河床相沉积,上部为河漫滩相沉积。河漫滩的主要类型有:①河曲型河漫滩,发育于弯曲型河段。常在凸岸堆积为滨河床沙坝、迂回扇等。②汊道型河漫滩,为在汊道型河段中形成的浅滩及其附属的沙坝、沙嘴等。③堰堤型河漫滩,发育于较直型河段,形成天然堤。④平行鬃岗型河漫滩,为堰堤型河漫滩与河曲型或汊道型河漫滩的过渡类型,表现为一系列平行鬃岗系统,鬃岗之间为浅沟、洼地或湖泊。
