无棣县埕口镇地处山东省最北端,濒临渤海,素有"山东北大门"之称。总面积156平方公里,30个行政村,2.19万人。大济路(大口河至济南)纵贯全境,是江浙及山东半岛一带通往京津塘地区的交通要道,与国家重点建设项目黄骅大港隔河,相望,规模宏大的绿色化工企业"鲁北企业集团"坐落于境内。鲁北高科技城、鲁冀大桥(由大口河通往黄骅港的铁路、公路桥)建设被列为全省十五规划重点工程,并且鲁北高科技城已竣工使用。

全镇拥有海岸线27公里,浅海滩涂50万亩,现已开发海水养殖面积3万亩,日本对虾、南美白对虾、梭子蟹、东方对虾等为主要养殖品种,年产对虾70多万公斤,创产值3000万元,实现利税1000万元。建有两座总量为3000 立方米的海水孵化场,每年育产虾、蟹苗种4亿多尾。成功地进行了三疣梭子蟹、南美白对虾和蓝对虾试验养殖,连续三年获全市" 海水养殖先进乡镇 "称号,被列为全省"第三批海水养殖科普示范基地"。丰年虫卵养殖方兴未艾,年产值达1800万元,建有两座大型标准化的丰年虫卵加工厂和丰年虫烘干厂。
