性质：由左旋与右旋均为30º的两块石英棱镜组成顶角为60º的三棱镜系统；其晶轴与底边保持平行。因石英为各向异性晶体，故石英棱镜有双折射和旋光的缺陷。科纽棱镜由于晶轴平行底边，当以最小偏向角入射光线时，不产生双折射现象；而且右旋棱镜所产生的旋光效应正好被左旋棱镜所抵消。
