一种以焦炭或煤为原料制造的工业煤气。其可燃成分(主要是氢气和一氧化碳)与氮气的比例为3.1~3.2,也是一种合成氨原料气。半水煤气典型组成(体积%)为:
半水煤气的工业生产方法有 3种。①混合配制:以水煤气和发生炉煤气按一定比例混合配制。②间歇气化:碳与空气反应放热,而碳与水蒸气反应吸热。当空气与水蒸气比例满足半水煤气组成时,不能维持气化过程的自热平衡。故实际气化操作分成两个阶段:一是送风阶段,即将空气通过燃料层以提高床层温度;另一是制气阶段,即将空气与水蒸气通过高温燃料层而制得半水煤气。③连续气化:把富氧空气与水蒸气作气化剂,在高温下与煤进行反应,也可得到半水煤气。
