“九斗碗”是客家人传统敬归客佳肴,因其多摆席于农家院坝头,又称“坝坝宴”。
坝坝宴最能体现出成都人的吃相。但要吃出味道,吃出氛围,在形式和内容上肯定都是大有考究的。在形式上,食客要多多益善,吃饭如同打一场歼灭战,声势要大大的,兵员要旺旺的,动作要猛猛的。在内容上,“九大碗”是起码的。之所以叫“九大碗”,是因“九”字含吉祥之意,民间有“九九长寿”、“九子登科”、“天长地久(九)”等说法。
