双避式动机冲突(avoidanee一avoidaneeconflict of motivation)亦称“避一避冲突”，发生于两个不合意目标间的冲突。此时，在一个人的面前，同时有两件具有威胁性的事件要发生，要回避其一就必然遭遇另一件，可谓“前遇断崖，后有追兵”。在这种情况下，一个人回避其一的动机就会使回避另一事件或事物的动机受挫，从而陷入双避心理冲突之中。双避冲突中的人对某一目标或事物的回避倾向，随着距此目际或事物空间或时间上的距离的缩短而增强，随着距离的加大而减弱。也就是说，一个人越是靠近他不想要的东西，这个东西在他眼里就变得越不好，因此他就越想避开它。这类冲突较难解决，做出选择也常常需要较多时间，故对人的心理健康有较大影响。双避冲突的有效解决有赖于找到其他出路或出现其他因素。 (梁宝勇撰牟丈博审)
