补充资料:进藏英雄先遣连
中国人民解放军骑兵部队某部第1连,进军西藏阿里地区部队的英雄集体。这个连队由汉族、蒙古族、维吾尔族、 藏族等7个民族的136名干部战士组成。1950年8月1日,该连在团保卫股长李狄三率领下,从新疆于田的普鲁出发,克服了高原缺氧、风雪严寒等困难,艰苦跋涉数百公里,翻越终年积雪海拔6420米的昆仑山,到达藏北高原。一路上,严格遵守群众纪律,尊重藏族人民风俗习惯,宣传并严格执行民族政策,受到藏族人民的欢迎。途中李狄三等40人光荣牺牲。1951年 5月28日和后续部队在扎麻芒保会师后,又继续前进,跨越了海拔7615米的冈底斯山的东君拉达坂,8月3日抵达阿里首府噶大克,为中国人民解放军胜利进军藏北作出了贡献。1951年1月,中国人民解放军西北军区领导机关授予该连"进藏英雄先遣连"称号。
