满族历史文化长廊以清代素面砖瓦亭、榭、楼阁建筑有机串联而成，迂回曲折、回旋宛转、高低起伏、参差错落。朱漆廊柱环列，雕梁画栋生辉，壁画彩绘栩栩如生。
长廊为砖木结构，整个壁画展示满族勃兴、清朝发祥的历史，是满族民俗风情的画卷。整幅画卷长540余米，由满族始祖神话及满族先世、汗王出世、统一女真、八旗制度及宗教祭祀、建国称汗及誓师伐明、明金之战、西迁都城与政权建设、太宗登极及建立大清、满族入关与定都北京、清帝东巡与谒陵祭祖，共十部分，86个画面。画卷以正史为主，兼容野史及神话传说，构图生动、绘画精湛，故事情节生动感人，令目睹者观赏入胜、留连忘返。
