Bates method of vision training

  贝茨视觉钻11练法(Bates method ofvision training)由贝茨(Bates,W.H.)博士所提出的一种治疗方法,它利用放松、运动、光和想像,在不戴眼镜的情况下获得清晰的视力。贝茨对眼科学的发展现状深表遗憾,为了找到预防和真正治愈视力不良的方法,他用近视、远视和散光患者做了许多实验。他发现,视力下降同紧张状态和情绪应激直接有关。为此,他设计了这一教育和训练方法,以解除眼肌紧张和由眼长时间紧张工作与情绪紧张引起的凝视。此法的效果己得到许多人的证实,并为眼科学界所逐渐接受。在治疗中,教师(治疗者)与学生(患者)一对一地坐或站在阳光下,让学生闭起双眼,一边晒太阳,一边随着音乐节奏缓慢地活动头部和身体,使全身肌肉(包括面部和眼肌)进入深度的松弛状态。在此过程中,教师讲述一些令人愉快的情景以诱发学生的丰富想像。经如此数次训练后,学生们的视力便会获得较大改进。这种训练方法目前己被广泛地用于各种年龄和各种‘类型的视觉问题,但一般认为此法最适用于由于眼肌疲劳和长时间精神紧张所引起的视力下降。这种训练改进视力的效果大小,取决于受训者的动机、态度、对方法的理解与掌握程度和是否能坚持长期训练。 (梁宝勇撰徐俊见审)
