The positioning and stiffness allocation of docking blocks are very important when docking a ship, because mis-positioning or mis-allocation of docking blocks may give rise to unreasonably large block reactions and consequently serious damage to both the docked ship and the blocks.

Considering the effect of ship stiffness on pontoon counter-deformation,the paper deduces the distribution of launching block s reaction force in longitudinal direction after the pontoon being deformed during ship s launching,and it develops a loading technique of launching block s reaction force.
