试验所用黄土试样取自西安东郊十里铺,且试样均在同一探井4m深度处取得,属Ⅲ级自重湿陷性黄土,在室内分别用面积为30cm2(小环刀)和50cm2(大环刀)的环刀进行单、双线法湿陷性试验,同时用相同含水量的黄土试样在平行于黄土的沉积方向(纵向)和垂直于黄土沉积方向(横向)进行湿陷试验,最后得出了环刀面积和黄土的各向异性对其湿陷系数影响很大的结论。
