亦金，原名张锡昌，浙江绍兴人。中共党员。浙江大学毕业。1949年参加革命工作，历任外交部西欧司科员、副科长，中国驻法国使馆三等秘书，中国国际问题研究所西欧研究室副主任，中国驻法国使馆一等秘书、政务参赞、临时代办，华盛顿威尔逊国际研究中心研究员，哈佛大学欧洲研究中心客座研究员，国务院外事办公室参赞。1944年开始发表作品。1999年加入中国作家协会。
