沿江大道位于南昌城的西南，濒临抚河。沿江新绿带则是沿江大道滕王阁与抚河桥头的南浦园之间，全长1．5千米，宽12米，在滕王阁附近全长585米的防洪墙上，用马赛克粘贴和白水泥装饰着"许真治水"的长幅壁画，古朴典雅。最引人注目的是绿化带中的雕塑。十多座形态各异的雕塑，像一颗颗珍珠缀在绿色的丝带上。更兼南端玲珑的南浦园和北面巍峨雄伟的滕王阁相互呼应，沿江大道已成为南昌令人流连忘返的风景区。
