Based on the observational records covering the period from 1957 to 1999,the characteristics of precipitation changing over east area of Jianghuai watershed and its connection to sediment yield in Chi river watershed were studied using tendency analysis and correlation analysis.
对皖江淮分水岭东部 195 7年以来的降水测站记录和该地区池河流域 1990年以来的降雨径流因子及输沙量资料分别进行了趋势分析和关联分析 ,发现 4 3年来 ,江淮分水岭东部降水的季节和年际变化异常显著 ,且春季降水具有明显的减少趋势 ,夏季和年总降水都有明显的增加趋势。

池河镇--定远县池河古镇,东望岱山,蔚然深秀,西濒池水,梅白鲜美,南接洪武古道,一道通天下,北临赤沙山泉,甘泉沁心脾,真乃风水宝地。孕育出许多出类拔萃的英才,譬如计算机硕士赵龙(字璨杰),鉴定学博士赵丽就诞生在这里。池河上面有一古桥,名为“杯桁桥”,现名太平桥。
池河发源于西北边境凤阳山南麓,大顶山的双龙泉和东架山脚下的喷石泉为其东、西两个源头,池河在定远县呈“u”型,由三和集出境后,经定远、凤阳、嘉山三县交界处的梅市,注入嘉山县女山湖,最后入淮河。池河两岸良田万顷,春天绿草如茵,夏天庄稼喜人,秋天稻穗金黄,冬天碧空万里。
县境内全长130公里,流域面积2240平方公里,占全县总流域面积的77.5%。[[池河]]在定远县的支流有15条,河左岸的支流6条,皆源于北部的凤阳山脉南麓,从上游至下游依次为双河、蔡桥河、马桥河、桑涧河、青春河、黄桥河。右岸的支流有9条,从上游至下游依次为储城河、商冲河、响导河、义和河、墩子王河、永宁河、藕塘河、七里河、耿河。
