人工消云、消雾是指采用加热、加冷开播撒催化剂等方法，消除作战空域中的浓雾，以提高和改善空气中的能见度，保证已方目视观察、飞机起飞、着陆和舰艇航行等作战行动的安全。在第二次世界大战中，英军曾使用一种名为“斐多”的加热消雾装置，成功地保障了2500架次飞机在大雾中安全着陆。1968年，美军为保障空军飞机安全着陆，曾使用过人工消雾武器。
