铝制板翅式热交换器是在数层平金属板之间紧密地放置波纹状的金属导热翅片,并在每一层的四周加上封条,于温度近600℃的盐溶液炉中整体铅焊而成。翅片的主要作用是强化传热,也有增强两金属板强度的作用,在这种热交换器中相邻两通道之间的热交换,一部分通过平板传递热量,但绝大部分热量是通过波纹翅中传递的,因为平板之间均有波纹翅片,因而大大增加了传热面积,所以它的单位体积内的传热面积比一般管式热交换器大10倍以上,达到4000~5000m2/m3。通过各通道之间的不同组合,可得到逆流、错流等形式的热交换器。它具有单位体积传热面积大、传热效率高、流体阻力小、热容量小、结构紧凑及同时允许几种介质进行热交换等优点。
