The problems that should be paid atlention to during the design of reconstruction for the tall shear wall residential building are introduced combined with two residential projects in Shanghai.

With regard to three shear wall residential buildings in Shanghai,cost control methods in the design stage were studied in view of architecture arrangement,structure arrangement,component design and material selection and so on.

But to tall shear wall residential building,it is seldom used.

This paper mainly do the following work to optimize the shearwall structure residence.

The article introduces the design ideas and design process in energy-saving of a high-rise shear wall structure house project; design optimization and choosing of energy-saving materials and explains that the target of 50% energy-saving can be highly integrated with low cost investment.
