A new approach to calculate magnetic fields and losses in the end zone of hydro generators at different operations was presented, in which the anisotropism and nonlinearity of the laminated stator core and the segmented clamp are considered with the equivalent magnetic permeability and electric conductivity derived based on the equivalent theory of magnetic and electric circuit.
