将同一个经济指标在不同时期（或不同情况）的执行结果进行对比，从而分析差异的一种方法。可以用实际与计划进行对比，也可以用当期与上期进行对比，还可以用行业之间进行对比的方法。对比分析法根据分析的特殊需要又有以下三种形式；第一，绝对数比较，它是利用绝对数进行对比，从而寻找差异的一种方法。第二，相对数比较，它是用增长百分比或完成百分比指标来进行分析的一种方法。第三，比重分析，它是研究某一总体中，每一部分占总体的比重，并找出关键的比重数据，以便掌握事物特点深入进行研究，也可以通过构成的变化来研究事物发展的变动趋势。
