The Impact Assessment of the West Breakwater Project in Lian-Yun-Gang,Jiangsu Province, China;

In this paper, the sedimentation of Lianyungang Harbor basin after the construction of West Breakwater is studied with the key conclusion that the construction of West Breakwater changes greatly the marine dynamic force and sedimentation.

The Lianyungang Harbor is a typical harbor with a muddy embayment in China, and the harbor has suffered from the aggravated siltation in harbor basin since the west breakwater harbor extension project was completed more than 10 years ago.

By analyzing the geological structure and lithologic feature of different sections of the dyke,it put forward the different measures of seepage control and reinforcement and gave out the construction keys of different measures and the attentive problems.
