排埠镇位于铜鼓县西南边陲，距县城18km，东邻万载县高村镇，南毗浏阳市张坊镇，西靠大沩山国家森林公园，北接永宁镇，是铜鼓绿色食品与建材工业重镇。地势西南向东北倾斜，最高海拔1396.3m，最低海拔240m。全镇面积131.5km2，下辖华联、排埠、梅洞、永庆、高陂、曾溪、永丰、青溪、黄溪、南溪、三溪11个村，总人口11063人，其中农业人口9348人。
排埠山高林广，气候宜人，适合南方各种作物的生长，年均气温为13.1-15.1℃，且雨量充沛，年降雨量为1764.5-1802.8mm。
生态资源丰富的排埠拥有森林总面积145566亩，水田面积11479亩，活力木蓄积量125万m3之多，年可高产木材3000m3，毛竹蓄积量500万根，年可产50万根以上，山上的珍贵树种苗木200多种，珍稀药材遍布其间。水力资源丰富，本县定江河发源于我镇华联村铁树坳，流经华联、排埠、永庆、高陂、曾溪、青溪、黄溪7个村，除了与县水电并网外，本镇还有5座水电站，总装机容量3000kw，境内水资源丰富，分布着几十处“矿泉水”。流量大、落差高，有待开发电力的水资源也有十多处。此外，华联村还蕴藏有矿化范围较大、品位较高的金矿；永丰村、曾溪村含有储量丰富的优质硅矿。
