Based on analyses of the slope of gravel earth depressed road and actual result of the treatment of slide, the paper brings forward a reasonable and economic method which resolves the problem of the defence about the slope of gravel earth depresen road successfully.

Based on the design of rock slope of deep cut in Guanling Xingren Highway of Guizhou Province, the Paper proposes the general principles which should be followed in the design of rock slope of deep cut for high grade highways in mountainous hilly areas.

The technology of shrubs widely established was studied during the vegetation restoration on the cutting rocky slopes in left,of the Hu-Rong West Expressway(K161+127～K161+342)from Yichang to Enshi in Hubei province.
