秦皇岛港口岸位于渤海湾底部，居于华北、东北两大经济区之间，自然条件优良，港阔水深，风平浪小，不冻不淤，气候宜人。1898年，清朝光绪皇帝朱批秦皇岛，“自开口岸”。一百多年后的今天，已发展成为与世界100多个国家和地区往来通商的以能源和大宗散撒或输出为主的现代化综合性超亿万大口岸。口岸包括秦皇岛港、秦皇岛新港、泰山化工码头、大晴纶厂码头、山海关船厂码头。
