Spherical cap harmonic analysis is an effective method for modeling a local gravity field,in which only the vertical component of gravity potential is calculated,and no differentiation to pole angle is needed; therefore,only one set of orthogonal functions would be required.

In this paper, The basic theories and calculating method of Spherical cap harmonic(SCH) are introduced, The Spherical cap harmonic analysis of satellite gravity anomalies over China main land had been done.

Based on the isostatic theory of crust vertical movements and considering some unavoidable defects in crust vertical deformation fitting by use of spherical harmonic method,　puts forward the spherical cap harmonic analysis method, and derives a corresponding model for approximating to regional crust vertical deformation.
