中国现代美术期刊。中国美术家协会机关刊物，其前身是《人民美术》。《人民美术》创刊于1950年 2月， 同年停刊，共出版6期，由王朝闻、李桦任主编。1954年1月复刊，改名《美术》，初为月刊,自1961～1966年改为双月刊,1966年5月因"文化大革命"停刊。至1976年3月复刊， 为双月刊，1979年3月复改为月刊至今。
《美术》以发表中国现代美术的理论研究文章和作品图片为主，同时兼及古代美术和外国美术的研究与介绍。先后主持《美术》编辑工作的还有倪贻德、力群、蔡若虹、华君武、王琦。1985年后，主编为邵大箴。
