戏曲音乐中与表演的念白、身段密切配合的有机联系形式。原来"游板",皮簧剧种称"行弦",一般地方戏常称为"小过门"或"动作过门"。在唱腔的句、逗或段落之间，如夹以念白或表演动作时，唱腔临时中断，即可接以行弦,使情绪联贯,音乐不致中断。行弦可以与唱腔中任何一个落音相衔接，能长能短,机动灵活,适应力强。因念白及动作时间很难严格限制，故常用一、二简短乐句反复循环，一俟念白或动作完毕，唱腔仍沿原曲继续进行。行弦乐句也可采用种种变奏手法，如加花减音、扩充紧缩、翻高翻低、移位转韵等，使烘托陪衬某些戏剧场面，取得珠联璧合的效果。
