This paper introduced the basic paint design principal for metal oil tanks and prepared paint systems for different parts of cavern metal oil tanks under corrosion environment.

The anticorrosion construction experience for metal oilcans in cavern were summarized and the implementing regulations in welding technology,anticorrosion construction technology,strengthening anticorrosion in tank bottom floor,and paint anticorrosion were introduced.
