| 顶推运输 pusher transportation service 以推船和一艘或多艘驳船组成顶推船队进行的货物运输。顶推船队可以灵活系解，推船为船队的动力船，驳船用以装载货物。顶推运输先用于内河航运，并逐渐发展成主要运输方式。最早的顶推运输于 19 世纪出现在美国密西西比河上。第二次世界大战后在各国得到发展。海上顶推运输于20世纪60年代兴起。 顶推运输特别适合于内河航运。顶推船队总载运量远超过同样吃水的一艘机动货船 ， 因而克服了有些航道浅、窄，加大机动货船尺度受限制的弱点。同时，驳船可分散到各港分别装卸，极适宜沿线港点多、装卸作业分散的情况。为提高船队运输的经济效益 ， 当前内河顶推船队已实现系列化、大型化和现代化：推船逐步定型、驳船船型标准化，因此形成分节驳顶推船队 。 分节驳结构简单，船员少，装卸方便，推船动力利用效率高；推船功率和驳船尺度逐步加大以充分利用航道尺度，提高运输效益；对运输进行现代化管理，引入先进的技术。
