磨镜台
磨镜台距南岳镇十四华里，和半山亭隔壑相望，在祝融峰南的燕子岩下。磨镜台是佛教禅宗南宗祖源，因唐代名僧怀让和“江西马祖”道一和尚磨镜斗法的故事而闻名。磨镜台上有马祖庵，为道一在南岳创建的草庵。磨镜台后有七祖塔，系怀让墓。塔后为上山老路，路旁碑题“怀让路”，有206级石蹬。附近有龙舒桥、观音桥、麻姑桥、游泳池等遗迹。登磨镜台远望，南岳镇景色尽收眼底，台旁古松盘桓，台前壑谷幽深，盛夏在此小憩，暑气顿消。
